Should prostitution be legal?

I know we've had threads on this subject before, but the last serious one we had (that I could find) was made October last year. So I ain't necroposting that shit.

Anyway.

Should prostitution be legal?

Feel free to vote in the poll; if you think prostitution should be legal vote yes. If you think prostitution should be illegal vote no. (Duh.)

Ofcourse feel free to share your opinions about prostitution (that's why I'm making this thread after all).

Personally I think it should be legal. What two consenting adults decide to do with their time should not be a crime so long as it harms no one else, and if one party wants to pay the other, and the other is willing to be paid, I really see no problem. I do think it should be regulated, but I'm unsure as to how exactly we'd go about doing that.

Anyone else find it bizarre that if you film the sex act, it becomes pornography and is therefore legal?

Legalize it and regulate it. It will only become safer for the individuals who prostitute and some of the money will filter into taxes. Win-win.
