Why? I'm skeptical about the claim you just made, perhaps you can elaborate?

LOL and what does this follow from? Did I somehow just start believing in a god? What else could you possibly be referring to when criticizing my atheism? What else is there?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Aren't you also skeptical about your skepticism about the claim I just made?

Absolutely, maybe I'm wrong, why else would I have asked you to elaborate? I mean, if i wasn't I would just say "You're wrong" and let it ride, wouldn't I?
(you are going to elaborate....right?)

Well, I'm going to elaborate by being skeptical of everything you are saying.

Because skepticism is useful!

That's perfectly fine, but do remember your skepticism may be rendering counterproductive results. Isn't it time for you to be skeptical about your skepticism, or is only one party in this conversation willing to be consistent or rational?

Skepticism isn't really capable of elaborating, is it now? See what I mean about expectations?

(You went off the rails from the very start, "rampant skepticism" amounts to little more than "rampant questioning of claims". You are essentially searching for a rational defense of reason.)

I think you ought to be skeptical of your own claims.

FFS troll, didn't I just say that I was? You really don't have anything to say on this count..do you? Nothing to offer, nothing to add, no elaboration. The gotcha trail has gone cold. Oh well.

................. Technically if you are skeptical about existing that's ok, because in truth a person doe's not exist until another person see's them. It is a way of confirming you are a conscious living being that doe's exist. It's kind of like the old question, if a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

I insist you both be skeptical in an appropriate moderation.

The problem is, we know intuitively that we need to moderate our skepticism. But if we are rational, don't we also need a rational basis to do so?

I can't seem to find a rational basis to moderate skepticism adequately other than just arbitrarily assuming certain things to be beyond skepticism. And that's not rational, it's irrational.

You're assuming that they are separate things though (skepticism/reason), aren't you? Also, as a major nitpick, I definitely don't "know intuitively" that I need to moderate my skepticism. Quite the opposite, actually.

What do you imagine is beyond skepticism?
