The things that might help are things that americans like even -less- than complicated multi-step solutions.
Increase access to and acceptance -of- mental health services? -Never. Decriminalize/legalize and regulate all those dirty substances that give us an excuse for moral and legal condemnation while simultaneously filling state and federal coffers? -Over our dead bodies.....no, really...we'd rather see ourselves shot. Enforce (and stop bitching about) those laws which do exist and amount to a requirement of sanity and responsibility regarding the possesion -and- sale of inherently dangerous pieces of machinery with criminal ramifications for negligence? -Absurd! Seek out and employ metrics based solutions to defineable problems? -Bullshit, we hate math. Reject the stumping and wedge narratives used to cover for a candidates complete lack of any productive policies or principles? -What would we insult the commies/fascists with then, and how else are we supposed to get these idiots into office? Address the universally demonstrated relationship between institutional discrimination, oppression, poverty, and violence? -FFS, how could we justify our spoken and unspoken bigotries if we did that? Legitimately work to accurately identify and fix a fixable problem once a generation or so? -What will we have to bicker about when we're all a bunch of geriatrics? Shuffleboard is fucking boring. Besides, our kids are assholes, let them handle it. Leave us alone, we've got leathery strange to chase, where's my fiber-tini!
