Yeah, that's not exactly true. The vast majority of guns are made for killing things.  That the vast majority of guns are used for punching holes in paper doesn't change what they're made for.

I very much doubt that the engineer who designed this

When you go out to kill an animal, you bring an item expressly MADE to kill animals, correct? You bring a gun - not a car, not a steak knife, not a blender. You don’t bring any of these because they CAN kill, you bring something made for the purpose you have in mind - to kill.

Fair point. If the vast majority of guns were made to punch holes in papers, then the vast majority of guns would be BB guns. Not the worst idea - wars could be decided by which side had the most welts at the end of the battle.
