But it's kind of a crime of some kind these days? They're not even supposed to give up their seats for you on the bus these days. I don't think this is a passing fad or a fashion and we will go back to what we were doing before in 100 years. It's very much something Jesus himself would approve of.

More equal than they were before, though still with room for improvement, which I'm sure we will make given the divine light of guidance we are enjoying here. I think it's good to have a God that does something practically good not just hang about in the sky. He gets down here and gets his hands dirty, that's the guy right there.

Don't give God credit for good developments like this. Look at all the horrible things happening in the world. If God can intervene, then what does that make him? This point hurts you more than it helps you.

There was an improvement, the improvement was within the last 2000 years, the improvement fits in with what Christ taught, the improvements occurred initially in the Christian world and other parts of the world had to keep pace.

Show me that. What in the Christian world happened that started a moral improvement over our entire race?

The first parts of the NT were written well within living memory of Jesus's life so he certainly existed. Heck even King Arthur probably existed and the first accounts of him were written hundreds of years after his death.

J.K. Rowling wrote the Harry Potter novels well within living memory of Harry's life, so he certainly existed.

The universe exists for some reason it may as well be a reason that has some relevance than blind chance.

I think our universe has relevance with or without a God. Why do you think the universe had to have an omnipotent creator to be worth anything?

So there is basically nothing anyone could ever do or say to persuade you of the truth of the God/Christ/Holy Spirit. Or perhaps you can be persuaded it depends if you're the kind of person Jesus described or not. You could be gradually won over or slowly reeled into the full realization of Gods loving presence right here. Again not something out there in space ruling over us like a tyrant.

I followed religion for decades, in one form or another. I am currently an agnostic atheist. I'm willing to be wrong. But you haven't presented anything to make me think I am.

I might if shooting you in the head would prevent Armageddon the next mass genocide or something, it would depend why you needed killing. But I'd have to be very sure it was the real thing and not a trick/hallucination first of course. There was an interesting film like this where a guy had these angels tell him to kill "demons" (a bunch of people) but the twist was they were all serial killers.

You don't get to question God if I recall your religion correctly. You do as your told. God speaks to you, you believe this. He tells you to kill your kids, and you....? Finish that sentence with the explanation. There are instances in the bible where God asks this very thing so don't try and sneak out of it by claiming its inconsistent with his described nature. It's right up His alley.

It does depend on why Jesus wanted you dead. I'd just assume it wasn't Jesus if it wasn't a really good reason. Or if he was I'd become a Buddhist or something.
