"Not praying in schools is a promotion of atheism!" - An actual human being.

I explained that they crossed boundaries and violated the privacy regulations. They did not understand. I explained that in order to invite them they needed their personal information which they obtained from the clinic and that means it must only be used for treatment services. Nope... Nothing. I explained that this seems like two people using their position of influence to convince clients to attend church. Nada. I said, "If I invited your kids through the clinic to an atheist meeting (meetup) what would you say?" They said it wouldn't help while church can help. Fuck.

You work in the rocket science department, yes? I mean, you must, as these two are clearly rocket scientists.

Fuck me, I'm glad I don't work where you work. Big Grin

So you're ok with 'sugar tits', then? :p

My family just moved back to the bible belt, so I wondered how long it would be before the school here effed up. Day 1, Monday, my son tells me his teacher is already preaching. Naturally, I don a hat and shoes, preparing to run up there and give'm hell. I asked Sean what she said exactly. He says "She said she doesn't care if I'm Jesus Christ himself....school rules are school rules". I took off my shoes.

Maybe not yet, but I suspect a throwdown with school administration will happen. Their car bumpers are a mass of baptist stickers.

Lol this made me laugh dreaming.

You, too, captain wanton. About dear... It just feels derogatory. I know people who use it to feel superior. I know not everybody does. Just a thing.

I'll take that under advisement, toots.

Not pole vaulting makes me an Olympic athlete.

This is just yet another desperate attempt to try to get prayer put back in schools, and the main reason they claim that atheism is a religion. Same for evolution. They claim evolution is a religion so they can try to get it pulled from the curriculum.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

LOL! I stopped going to diners with my pops because he calls waitresses that. They can butter his toast with their armpits all they want, but why should I suffer?

Plus...the tips from guilt were breaking me.

I was being considerate. Anyway... A client got mad at this and told on them. They got a miserable write up. I asked them if we couls stop mixing religion at work and they said I should stop mixing my atheist beliefs, too.

Stop being nice to them, they're too stupid to appreciate it and too mean-spirited to return the favor.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I promote atheism by not discussing god...

In my home.

At work.

Anywhere.

Ever.

That's like saying that I'm promoting Bong by
not discussing it...

In my home.

At work.

Anywhere.

Ever!!

Wait..... Bong...What?

Reality promotes atheism. That's why theists try so hard to live outside of it.
