How can any of you not know that? Is it not in this atheist agenda I keep reading about? (I presume a copy gets fed ex' D to you or something)

Apparently, I must have missed that memo.

I did get the new addition of the Baby BBQ Cookbook at the beginning of summer, so HQ has the correct address.

'War" is an overused term. War on this, war on that...can we just reserve the word war for, well, war.

Any atheist that celebrates Christmas is a hypocrite. Those that object to Nativity scenes on the lawn of a public school are losers that need to get a life.

Huh... and here I thought it was the losers who push their religion on government property who need to get a life.

It's not your holiday. You stole it.

I won't object to the Nativity scene on public property if you pay double taxes and allow me to pay none. Otherwise, I'm paying to subsidize your stupid fuckery and I have every right to object to it.

How about this. You can keep the nativity scene on the school property, but only if we're allowed to place monuments to evolution on church property, since I deserve that right as a taxpayer who subsidizes churches.

I could just as easily claim that any christian that celebrates christmas is a hypocrite. If you guys can hijack a festival, why not us? I'll celebrate whatever I damn well please

I actually willingly downloaded the entire Original Soundtrack of the Home Alone movie... can't get more chritsmassy than that! And it's in my playlist... every *~300 hours of listening* I get to listen to it again! And I don't mind one bit. It's cheerful and reminds me of the goofyness of that movie!

What I have a problem with is being force fed Christmas music on the radio, in stores, on TV and anywhere else someone can make me listen to it to the point where it's almost impossible to escape from it. If Christmas commercialism weren't shoved in my face and Christmas music only sporadically played on the radio until at most the week before Christmas I wouldn't have a problem with it.

(As it stands, I just listened to my Manheim Steamroller Christmas album today which I hardly think of as Christmas music, it's practically half chamber music.)

Come to think of it, that's probably why I like Thanksgiving so much more than I like Christmas: it's not advertised at all and not having it crammed down my throat allows me to actually look forward to it and enjoy it when it comes.

Hey, that was kind of dirty. Angel
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.

i don't mind if people wish me happy whatever.

But! if you're trying to get on someone's good side, wish them the holiday you know they celebrate but you don't. For example, one of our profs wished us happy chinese new year in chinese (apparently he was taking classes) once and it made all the chinese in the class happy, me included. I would think someone is very considerate if they were to do that. But I even celebrate the muslim new year when invited, and also diwali. So I really don't care much for the religious aspect of holidays.

Load of rubbish.

Christians already stole the holiday from the pagans.

You should have said, "any Christian that celebrates Christmas is a hypocrite".

Quote: Those that object to Nativity scenes on the lawn of a public school are losers that need to get a life.

Yeah, tell that to all the students and parents that believe in different gods than you.

I wonder what kind of uproar there'd be from Christians if Muslims put up a Ramadan display on public school property?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

If you can convince Bill O'Reilly and the rest of those FOX news twits to stop using it I'll give you a rep point.

Well those atheists who are against Christmas have an ally in that retarded view, Evangelical Christians.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
