I haven't seen the Lion King, either. Ironically, I may even have a copy of it in my apartment. My sister had a bunch of VHS tapes of cartoons she bought when her kids were babies (10+ years ago), and she no longer has a working VCR, so she gave them to me. So I have about a dozen Disney cartoon movies in there. I honestly can't remember if that's one of them.

I still have a VCR, but I haven't plugged it into a TV in a couple of years now. I'm pretty sure my new TV that I bought last year can handle it, even with everything else plugged into it, but I just haven't gotten around to hooking it up.

You know, I actually had to explain to my nieces how to work my DS Lite, because they aren't used to playing a handheld that has buttons. Everything is touch screen on their tablets.

According to Gandolf in fellowship, even Sauron is not all evil now, and was good and fair before being twisted by Malkor.

So he is sort of like a version of Darth Vader, but more self-willed and made of sterner stuff.

If you overlook the initial impression made in Episolds IV and V, and look at the character overall, Vader is really a pretty sappy emo of a would-be villian.

Actually... no.

One of my coworkers actually has a new record player in our office, and buys old vinyl albums to play on it at work, and this is a guy who's too young to have had one as a kid like I did. Apparently, vinyl is making a comeback. No, I'm not kidding.

And I did have a beeper until about a year and a half ago. It wasn't active or anything - I just never got around to taking it to an electronics recycling bin until I was clearing stuff out of my old apartment the last time I moved.

My VCR is probably about 15 or 16 years old, and I haven't had it plugged into a TV or actually used it in a couple of years now. But I still own a few VHS tapes that I don't watch often enough to bother paying to upgrade to DVD or Blu-Ray, but might want to watch at some point in the future, including those dozen or so cartoon movies from my sister.
