I just seems very odd to me that so many Atheists are depressed. When I officially quit believing I felt better.

I had a bout of major depression several years ago, but nowadays I feel pretty happy most of the time. I can feel a little tired and melancholy during the long dark winters here in Sweden, but that's not depression. I like to cook. I like to work out. I like to read and write. I like to laugh. There are few things in life that are better than laughing your as off. Ok I can think of one thing that is a lot better, actually...

Depression? 
Yeah, I get down at times. It's part and parcel of being human. Never stay there and besides.... IF I didn't feel down how the hell am I going to know how I feel when I'm up?
On the whole I'm pretty happy. Life is very good here at ours, Zen rarely gets down, and is my rock for when I need to talk my way out of feels that bring me down.... We talk a lot about how we feel.

Oh darnit I misread the title. It said is there anyone whose NOT depressed.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Packings goin allright. I'm mostly worried about whether or not my dog will be racist on the plane.

I don't have time for depression: my wife battles depression, and at least one of us needs to remain upbeat and active.

She is lucky she has you.
Sometimes though, it is depressing watching someone being so active and all you want to do is sit quietly until "the blues" pass.

..with regards to packing.
overall I feel like crapola -- an autoimmune flare hit hard and fast and I'm afraid the doctors I need aren't in Wichita. Not to mention poor care in general. The medical care sucks here vs Colorado, but its at the altitude I need. Im sort of a mess atm actually.
