I simply stated that I can't stand them. I can't stand going to work either but learn to deal with it.

If a belief is a lie, it does not matter that good feelings or comfort can come from those beliefs. One is still living a lie by adhering to those beliefs. There is no rational reason behind living a lie rather than accepting the truth.

The problem is there are a lot of theories. A person that doesnt believe in god could be adhering to a lie as well.

Say what? lol

Is your post purely flaming? Again? (/sarcasm) What's your secret? How come you can get away with constant flaming where other people can't?

1. I constantly offer rational explanations to explain all of my beliefs, as they are rationally held.

2. Please demonstrate where I have lied.

yes and no.

It really does depend. But then again, some people don'y much care about "truth" unless it supports what they want.

True. However, it is more rational to not believe in something when there is no evidence to support its existence than to believe in it for the sake of believing a lie over what is apparently the truth.

The truth right now is that supernatural deities do not exist any more than leprechauns or unicorns exist. If proof relating to the existences of these things can be provided, only then can we state that not believing in them would be lying to ourselves.
