I've heard that chem trails are bad, but I never actually looked into it online to see what the facts are.

I thought just like Min until I saw a pic of someplace in Ca. (by a resident there) with a white criss-cross pattern all over the sky.
Here in western NY, I have never seen anything like it.
Maybe they were cloud seeding.

Chemtrails? Never heard of it.
Contrails. Now those are very real. And very wet.

This is a really dull video taking us on trip through time looking at contrails as reported in text books, cloud identification books, and weather books. Don't bother to watch it if you don't believe in chemtrails. It's really just book, title, copyright, picture text, repeat. But if you do believe in chemtrails please do watch. You will see contrails are just what they've always been since the 1950s. You just started noticing them because of the hype. They haven't become chemtrails.

Maybe they were cloud seeding. More likely they were flying in an orderly pattern (the depth of which would be impossible for you to determine from the ground, with your eyes) so as to avoid colliding with each other. That some surfaces of aircraft have that effect (the trail) on the atmosphere is pretty well understood. The planes are always doing that - you just can't always see it.
