(Edit) ah, one week. I'm sure he'll reply, If he isn't banned first of course.

You've pretty much set the standard for what you can get away with here without being banned. If HisMajesty can avoid a meltdown, I expect he'll be around awhile.

Seems as if your opponent

can't answer the bell, Esq.

That's rare in the first round.

Give him some time, guys. I'd like to think he's preparing his opening so it's awesome.

Probably still won't agree with it. But I can't fault the guy for using the time available.

Temporarily closing thread for a mod to split off the off-topic part so it can be discussed separately.

Reopened. Thread successfully split. Interesting how the troll thread is eight pages, and the discussion about the debate is only five.

*breathes in fresh air

Doesn't smell like bull shit in here anymore, good job Rebecca!

Perhaps now alpha male can get on with his critique and we can have a proper Q&A.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

So, like, does anyone have any thoughts about my opening statement, in the meantime? Tongue
