Yeah, if you want to get beat up about your faults just look for another relationship.
Seriously though they say the trick to a good relationship isn't to find a perfect mate. You just need to find someone whose faults you can respect and vice versa. We all have warts. I hear you, but some of what she has said has been in our conversations for a few months, and I've recognized the justice of her points. It's just changing habitual behavior is goddamned difficult. I'm certainly not taking everything she's said as the blueprint for self-improvement; and I've been frustrated by her lack of reciprocity at times -- the points that I regard as problems in her behavior just didn't get the same concern from her.
