I think solutrean hypothesis is already buried in the coffin of no evidence. But this particular artifact doesn't seem to direct address solutrean hypothesis.

As long as the Cactus Hill artifacts remain unexplained, Solutrean remains on the table. Not as any sort of migration, of course, but as hunters working along the ice sheet.

They could get virtually anything they needed from their kills along the ice except fresh stone. The ice sheet extended well down the American coast.
