incurable/chronic/terminal illnesses

RE: incurable/chronic/terminal illnesses
It has been said that if there were one true god performing miracles such as curing the incurable, we should expect to see a religion centred around that god growing exponentially at the expense of all other religions. That we don't see that is pretty decent evidence of the non-existence of such a god, at least.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Certainly. What the evidence instead points to is several gods with limited range of influence, or no gods. Competing "one true God" claims make all sides look stupid.

Given that most if not all religions assert that theirs is the one true god, or god pantheon, and all others are false, we can conclude that either they're all as false as the god they rode in on, or a proportion may be true but their pet god is not what it says on the tin, or the true god and associated religion hasn't shown up yet.

Well, according to Scientology, there's no such thing as mental illnesses.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

Same here.  I was born severely physically disabled.  I must've done some bad shit in my mom's womb.

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

In a weird way, I think I like it better to have had my condition since birth.  At least there's nothing to miss, you know?

Sorry, didn't mean to bring you down.

I know what you mean, I guess if you know no different it's easier in some sense.

You seem to be coping very well, as far as I can tell from your posts Smile
