You seem to be inferring these sickening human beings committed their crimes because of their atheism. What is clear is that the mass burning of heretics was very much a direct result of Catholicism. But I'm wasting my time, logical fallacies seem to be a second language for you.

Not necessarily. But in the absence of theism, yeah, they had no regard human life. And we are talking about 100+ million people.

Now, I personally don't agree with killing heretics, but from the perspective of the eternal soul, it could be argued that a heretic causes the eternal loss of the soul to anyone who falls under their sway. So, the heretic is worse than a murderer who merely causes the temporal loss of life.

While the killing of even one heretic is too many, the total numbers killed was insignificant compared to the numbers murdered by the monsters of the 20th century - by which time, we humans should have been far more enlightened by freedom from the shackles of religion.

So how did that happen?  Wink
