We get some people here in England refusing to have solar panels because they "look ugly". People object to other forms of clean/renewable energy for similar stupid reasons.

I think what humanity needs is not to blow itself up and not to further upset global climate, not to the point of no return at least, if we didn't already go there. That's my primary concern right now. Anything else can wait. We should first take care not to join the other 99.9% of extinguished species.
