21 U.S. states will not allow syrian refugees

RE: 21 U.S. states will not allow syrian refugees
The mayor of Roanoke VA wants to thrown the Syrian refugees into concentration camps.  It sounds like a job creation program.  http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2015/.../76016936/

The TN GOP Caucus Leader wants to use the National Guard to round up all of the Syrians in TN and kick them out of the State.  What the neighboring States will do with them is a mystery.  http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/pol...autologin=

haha i would love to see the TN gov try to do that call up state guard troops which technically a governor can call in the troops from his state to protect the state so   im gonna watch that story although its just a lawmaker not the governor saying that i dont think any governor would go that far . I have no idea what the states are going to do the federal govt is allowing states to divert incoming refugees coming to the state , like indiana, to states that have said they will take them which is 8 states if more .

the fed could make an issue out of it but apparently are not planning to bother with it its only 10,000 after all not millions but that doesnt mean the states will be allowed to do anything they want refugees have rights on entering the U.S. its not citizenship rights (they become citizens at 18 months ) but they have legal status right away and therefore the freedom of movement within all 50 states they get to choose where they want to be." and of course human rights everyone has in addition to legal rights so a governor definately cant break any laws in his dealings with refugees.

and its kinda a moot point these states are making since once arriving the refugees are able to freely travel anywhere anyways and if they are fake refugees and really undercover terrorists they can go anywhere they want to if they are financially able to travel if they are getting money from family or left syria , im sure both rich and poor have left or have family here helping . one syrian refugee that was in a LA charity left after a few days and they just found out he left for Washington D.C. i can imagine he just wanted to go to where he might be able to talk to Obama or try to talk to Obama over assad or protest or something DC is a favorite place for protesters to go and refugees have been outspoken against assad or he might have just always wanted to see DC but it wasnt really the best time to go      http://www.wbrz.com/news/catholic-charit...ton-rouge/

The SCOTUS can't reverse a presidential impeachment.  It has no jurisdiction in the matter other than the Chief Justice presides over it.  But once the Senate convicts it's a done deal.

Perhaps. If you remember your high-school civics, the Court didn't have the power of review either; nowhere in the Constitution is it written that one of the Court's functions is to ensure that laws comport with the Constitution.

In order to bring a charge, you have to, you know, have a charge. That's why Clinton was charged with perjury, rather than, say, being a Democrat. That's because perjury is on the books as being illegal.

I'm still waiting for WoG to enumerate any crime he thinks Obama should be charged with.  Seems to me like he cannot come up with one.
What was Andrew Johnson charged with?

"Unfit to be president

There were 11 counts, nine of which repeated over and again that he had violated the Tenure of Office Act by firing Stanton. The last two accused him of bringing Congress into "disgrace, ridicule, hatred, contempt and reproach" by speeches he had given, and the 11th summarized the other 10 and said Johnson's conduct demonstrated his unfitness to be president."

So if the House does actually impeach the President and if the Senate does actually convict him who is going to overturn the proceedings?

So what you're telling me is that they charged him with the illegal act of firing Stanton. I get that the other stuff was window-dressing ... but they charged him with a violation of the law.

How, exactly, is that supposed to contradict my point? If you want to contradict my point, find us an impeachment which has no mention of illegal behavior.

Oh, and hey, are you ever going to answer my question? What charges would you level against Obama? Given your silence on the matter, I'm starting to think you got nothin'.

Some people, not me, think that he's traitor.  Maybe they have evidence to support that.

What a wonderful idea.....where's he going to boot them to...the mountains to the north in Kentucky, with one of the highest numbers of guns per capita, where you can set up a tent across from the police station and sell rifles to passersby pretty much on a whim, that already contains a disproportionately large number of ex-military personal now chiefly employed in the illicit drug trade operating out of remote camps in the wilderness?  Couldn't imagine what might go wrong.

well they do have complete freedom to go/do anything once they are here so if any are in kentucky or tennessee they could get guns if they wanted to . i know they have legal rights and that i think includes firearms .

Not without a valid green card, it doesn't.

Thanks for the info. Some of those I was familiar with, others I was not. I still would not say any of those are more dangerous than Muslim terrorist groups though. 9/11 killed so many people, and there have been attacks by Islamist extremists here in just the past year.

Mass shootings by Americans against Americans have become an everyday event.  15,000 people die every year because we can't stop shooting each other, which, if you want to do the math is 5 times worse than 9-11 and it happens every year.  And that doesn't even address the ones who are "only" wounded.  Stop kidding yourself.

I know that it's very unliberal of me to say this, but good. I really don't give a fuck about the refugees. It's their war, they shouldn't be dumped onto all of us. I honestly don't want a bunch of muslims in our country, I think islam is fucking retarded. Honestly, I wouldn't really mind if they built a huge wall around mexico, deported all the mexicans, tracked every single muslim in the country with the fbi, deported every single refugee that's already here. I admit, I read trump say stuff like that, out of all the stupid shit he's said, and I just think good. Fuck those people.
