Does anyone think I am a "bigot"?

I think a lot of people don't know what the word means.

I grew up on a very bigoted street, uneducated white boy bullies. But my earliest thoughts of "why" even though I did not understand back then, was a mixed couple who had a mixed girl about my age, couldn't understand why they made the jokes they did. Had a black guy on my street try to teach me golf, which I didn't like but tried anyway because I liked him. My first job was at a 7-11 which was managed by immigrants from Pakistan, I was a complete spastic stressed out all the time, looking back at that now, they had tons of patience dealing with me.

But I was lucky at a young age that my parents took me all over the united states, even had a Japanese exchange student living with us for a couple weeks. Always identified with media that conveyed diversity even outside all those I have met in my life.  My first attempt at living on my own I rented a room in a house owned by a family from India. And my x wife was Japanese. My first long period date that lasted more than a month was a Hispanic.

And Northern Va just outside of DC, minus the island street I lived on, has always been diverse.

Some idiots want to paint my blasphemy as the same as Trump's ignorance when he says "Some of my best friends are" when he says "I love the Hispanics".

And all of the jobs I have had in my life have always had a variety of people. I do hate bringing that up, but just like when believers on the issue of religion say "Why do you care", I have to say something because you(some) keep saying stupid shit.

No but your woo policing gets extreme, IMO. Sometimes I really do picture you driving Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters, lights flashing and sirens blaring, rushing in to chastise a couple of 5-year olds who are arguing about Superman vs. Darth Vader.

"Extreme"? Hardly. "Extreme" is when laws are written to stop people from expressing dissent. "Extreme" is when you get violent because someone offended you.

Yes I do go after all forms of woo. So? You can call me "extreme" when I start demanding people's arrest or get violent merely because they say things I don't like.

Sorry, but people argue over sky heros, they are not arguing from a position of evidence, they are merely protecting their own ego's and desires. YES fighting over Allah vs Jesus IS exactly like a Star Trec fan fighting with a Star Wars fan. The only difference is the si fi fans haven't created a religion to a political level nor do they settle their differences with weapons.

The fantastic claims in holy books juxtaposed to a comic book are BOTH based on suspension of disbelief. Both are appealing to the reader, but only one is believed to be factual. Religion at is core is a ignorant attempt to fill gaps to make up answers as to good vs evil.

If you can accept Superman vs Lex Luther as fictional, then you can accept God vs Satan as fictional. Calling something a religion, merely means humans want it to be more than fiction.

Now, I do agree my putting it like that IS blunt and offensive to those of faith. But that has nothing to do with force of law, but cold water or a mirror to the logic they use.

Blunt, yes, offensive yes, hardly crazy. "Crazy" to me is murdering people over old books and invisible beings nobody has ever proven to exist. Crazy to me is what the Church did to Galileo despite the fact he was telling the truth about science.

Crazy to me is refusing to issue marriage licences to gays because an old book told you they were bad.

Crazy to me is slamming planes into buildings because you think you'll become a hero in an afterlife.

Crazy to me is going to a faith healer, and ignoring that even he ends up going to a doctor.

Saying "No, that is not true, the Yankees didn't win the Superbowl" only means I think you are full of shit. FOR EXAMPLE.

I don't mean "extreme" as in extreme reaction to woo but as in extreme attention to it. It seems that no amount of it is under your radar, none of it benign. That is what I find extreme. It's ironic coming from you too as you have spoken out many times against concepts like perfect societies. Yet it seems like you want a world of zero-woo - perfection - which is literally impossible in a world of human beings because the wiring of our brains simply doesn't allow it.

Other things being crazy also is irrelevant.   Just like saying bigoted things isn't necessarily the same as being a bigot. Just my opinion, but when youo say that right wing people are all crazy or all bigots and then act insane when challenged, it could be bigotry.

Edit: Also what's the point of asking if you only want to hear one answer?

It's probably because you seem to carry a lot of hate toward believers. It doesn't make you a "bigot". Wrong word. "Hater" maybe?
