That's because it's still considered fornication when it's between atheists or any other couple who did not get married in a Roman Catholic church. God only recognizes marriages that happened in His Holy Church, so in His eyes you are not married and therefore still fornicating. Therefore, queef.

I love the smell of queef in the morning.  You know, one time we fucked like badgers for 12 hours, when it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' evil spirit. The smell, you know that queefy smell, the whole vagina.  Smelled like victory.
