I'm proud to wear the moniker "skeptic." In fact, when there are undeserved negative connotations like with atheist, it makes me want to use them more.

Oh, you think atheists are baby-eating devil-worshippers that just like to fornicate? Yeah, I'm one of those.

I'm skeptical about that statement.

And then you proceed to show them how that is untrue?... ........right?

I prefer "sceptic" myself.

I was septic a couple months ago.

I really don't recommend it.

I "c" what you did there.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Actually this exactly the reason why I prefer the spelling "skeptic"

"sceptic" reminds me of "septic".

I prefer most American spellings though, they make more sense. Yes I am a traitor to my country, no I don't care. I'm no patriot Tongue

I think you're just focusing in on the stupid faux pas' of people in the world. Anyone who puts a link between rebellion and skepticism is a fucking retard.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.
