Making a black and bleu burger for lunch before I go off to class. Then I will murder myself on the erg to break even.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Made tacos tonight. Erred on the side of excess when installing the various fillings and condiments in the two that I had. Sloppy as heck to eat, but delicious.

Cheap eats tonight in the Cthulhu household. Pre-marinated Kroger pork tenderloin, green giant beans with butter and salt, and nutty sliced bread with butter. Super easy, super fast, and delicious.

Made a massive thing of black bean and ground turkey chili. Almost spilled it all. Those black beans really don't like to submit in the crockpot!

My husband and I cooked a huge pork roast on Fri night, along with sauerkraut. We are on different eating schedules, so he ate a few hours ago and I will be eating mine a little later. I love pork and sauerkraut with rye bread. There are only 2 of us, so we sliced the pork and kept some in the refrigerator for a couple of meals and froze the rest.
“The problem with those who choose received Authority over fact and logic is how they choose which part of Authority to obey. The Bible famously contradicts itself at many points (I have never understood why any Christian would choose the Old Testament over the New), and the Koran can be read as a wonderfully compassionate and humanistic document. Which suggests that the problem of fundamentalism lies not with authority, but with ourselves.” ~Molly Ivins
