Pie. I;m on a pie kick. Pumpkin Pie. Apple Pie. Pecan Pie. Also, cheesecakes. It's been a long time since it was cool enough to bake in the house.

Half of a big-ass center-cut sirloin, grilled over mesquite, with a rub of pepper, salt, garlic powder, and dried onion, accompanied by a vegetable medley roasted over the same grill, and some toasted French bread.
One of the best meals I've done this year, everything came off right and all at the same time too. You gotta love it when a plan comes together.
I'll put up a pic later ... once I'm done stuffing my face.

We had a foodering day today....
Homemade waffle and a fried egg - whites firm, yolk runny like YHWH intended, which we only had to tide us over until....
Brunch at Mom's was french toast with sauce made of banana, butter, and maple syrup and herb chicken sausage, with a slice of melon on the side.
Dinner was homemade carnitas nachos and tacos. *Almost* as good as any you'd find on a back street in Puerto Vallarta. With ale and a little to help the appetite (I have not been well for a few weeks).

16 chocolate cupcakes now in the freezer, 6 in the fridge, and my daughter and I each scarfed one down.
Wings turned out very well -- bought a couple of pounds of wings from a local grocery store known for its meat department, and split them myself. Dipped in an egg wash, dusted them with a mixture of cornstarch and spices, and baked for about 35 minutes at 450F, turning at the halfway point. Tossed the wings in a bowl with a mixture of melted butter and hot sauce.
