Saudi Arabia Law

Saudi Arabia Law
I've been reading a little into Saudi Arabia's religious police, and the INSANE "laws" that they uphold. Most of it is inline with Sharia law and to be quite honest, it is abhorrent. How this theocracy can get away with treating their civilians like shit, allowing them no freedoms and punishing them without trial - without any interference or real question from western powers such as the US or UK is beyond me. We continue to sell Billions of dollars of arms to equip them, and buy billions of dollars in oil in return. It frankly makes me sick.

I also thought I'd share this documentary I found with you all. Watch it if you get the chance, was a real eye opener for me.

The world community needs to shun/isolate themselves from SA. It's an outdated theocracy who's time has past. The current US foreign policy with them borders on lunacy.

Time to stop playing nice. We don't need their oil any more.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Yes, but.  The 'but' being Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and very nearly Egypt.   I have no confidence in muslim populations to select reasonable leaders.

Too many Clinton and Trump apologists who couldn't care less about Saudi sadly. Funny how these people who claim to hate the barbarism that Saudi exports will try and make excuses for when Hilary and Donald accept money from the Saudis. Hilary and Bill decided to accept the paid speeches to those GCC despots and Donald decided to do business with these lunatics. Nobody forced them to.

Actually, great Britain created this desert kingdom, here, it's official:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Darin
https://www.modernghana.com/news/515742/...tence.html
http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Treaty_of_Darin

So, Britain owns them, and can tell them to stop in mere seconds; and THEY WILL STOP.
But as David Cameron have said: The desert kingdom provides important intelligence reports.

You can't be seriously expecting that the west doesnt know what this hellhole kingdom is. This is a crematorium.

Loads of countries have oil. Iran, Russia and Valenzuela have loads of oi too yet the United States and is quite happy to bemoan their "human rights". They take oil from Saudi with few questions asked so I think it's a little more complicated.

The money Saudi makes from oil is given back to the United States in the form of arms sales. Russia can build its own arms, Iran hates the United States (with good reason considering the CIA and Britain organized a coup in response to Persia wanting to nationalize its oil industry) and Venezuela has been to "socialist" as of late. Turns out, GCC countries are perfect to sell weapons to.

The Obama administration has sold more weapons to Saudi than any other presidency it turns out. Saudi donates a few million to the Clinton Foundation and they get a sweet (and speedy) arms deal. Handy if you need to bomb civilians in the Yemen or are in an arms race with Iran. Hilary has lots of friends who are defence contractors because they know she'll be able to sell more arms as president. For example:
Consider this IB Times article:
Clinton Foundation Donors Got Weapons Deals From Hillary Clinton's State Department
Quote:Even by the standards of arms deals between the United States and Saudi Arabia, this one was enormous. A consortium of American defense contractors led by Boeing would deliver $29 billion worth of advanced fighter jets to the United States' oil-rich ally in the Middle East.

Israeli officials were agitated, reportedly complaining to the Obama administration that this substantial enhancement to Saudi air power risked disrupting the region's fragile balance of power. The deal appeared to collide with the State Department’s documented concerns about the repressive policies of the Saudi royal family.
So even the Israelis are worried. But even that wasn't enough to stop Hilary and Obama. Guess the defence industry is even more powerful than the Israel-lobby.

And Atlas is absolutely right to say that Saudi wouldn't exist without Western support. Who would know Saudi better than a Saudi? You know, somebody who has to live under this wicked system propped up by the West. Iran is way better at fighting terrorism that Saudi (who gives weapons and support to terrorist) yet we chose to spit in Iran's face.

Yeah, it is really disgusting. I hope one day it will become civilised, somehow. It's going to require gradual attitude shifts I suppose.

I always find it bizarre God needs so much thug enforcement to have his will done.

One of the reasons I don't drive is because of Saudi. Yes, I help the environment too. It was quite telling when there were reports of Saudis trying to sabotage the Paris climate talks. These people are too stupid to survive the post-oil age. Credit the U.A.E. for at least giving the illusion that they are a 21st century country and making it into a rich person's playground. I am sure Dubai will continue to prosper as Riyadh crumbles.

Yes, slightly.  The Saudis are considered "allies."  The others you mentioned are considered "enemies."  By the way, that's Venezuela.
