But seriously, the CEO never actually demanded anyone's resignation for supporting Trump. If you read the actual email, the focus was on people who agreed with Trump's behavior towards immigrants, minorities, and the disabled.

Trump ran such a divisive campaign that violence was Inevitable whoever won.
He unleashed violent and inflammatory rhetoric like a Hitler or Mussolini but seems to be surprised when his hate is not accepted by all peacefully.

People keep making the argument that Trump supporters would have done the same thing and that those that don't have this view are incredulous. This is of course a counterfactual which can never be proven. I think those making these claims would at least make a couple observations:

1. If racist bigots were ever going to protest and march in opposition to an election result it would have been after Obama's first election. It didn't happen. This does not mean that there weren't racists and bigots that weren't equally upset, just that large public displays of dissatisfaction isn't part of their MO. Instead, I recall there were stories where they made a run on ammo.

2. During the campaigns, it was Democrat supporters that physically showed up at Republican events to disrupt proceedings as a means of protest. Republican supporters did not.

I don't want my contribution here to be misconstrued. I am by no means arguing that had Clinton won that there wouldn't be Trump supporters calling for Clinton's head and have their complaint siren turned up to 11; I just don't ascribe to the notion that they would have taken to the streets in protest as we are seeing from disaffected Clinton supporters. I also don't think Trump supporters would burn flags as a means of protest, although I couldn't count out some cross burning in smaller invitation only gatherings outside of town.

Rather than waste their energy whining about the election result, why don't these people campaign for a better way of voting? Like ranked choice voting. Maybe they could use that wasted time and energy getting money out of politics.

But none, they have to be butthurt. I suspect the sorts of people protesting are the people who have bullied anybody who didn't support Her Majesty Hilary Clinton and refuse to believe the DNC rigged the primaries for their awful candidate.

And I do agree with anybody who said Donald Trump supports would behave in the same manner. And please don't think everyone on the left is a whiny child. I'm way to the left of all those Hillary Bots and I would never bully people into accepting my opinions.

I just love how now the tables have turned, the Trumpettes are the ones saying that all the rioting and violence is crazy. You can't have it both ways. Your candidate, before the election, encouraged violence at his own rallies, encouraged his own supporters to beat up his opponent's supporters, and said repeatedly that the election was rigged.

You guys set the tone for this. If Trump had lost, there would still be violence, protests, etc, it would just be coming from Trump's supporters.

The worst Clinton did on the campaign was call half of Trump's supporters "deplorable". Yeah, that's bad, it might have cost her the election, but calling someone names is not as bad as actively encouraging violence.

He was definitely creating a hostile work environment for those employees who don't agree with his politics. Let him run his mouth. He can say whatever he wants. But hey, we don't have to support his business with our money if we don't like what he says.

Most of us voted for Trump because the last eight years hasn't created many jobs that pays livable wages. Many of us don't like NAFTA or TPP, which Trump was against. The coal mining industry jobs in areas around Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio has nose dived even more over the last 8 years of Barack Obama, and Hillary even commented about putting the miners out of work. Manufacturing has all but relocated out of our country leaving behind "Brown Areas" throughout many Midwest cities that were once manufacturing capitols. For some to paint Trump supporters as only being racists, xenophobes, sexist nazis is narrow minded and naive.  That's why the dems lost. They're out of touch.

No, what those kids need to do is get off fucking Twitter and vote. They need to get their friends tp vote. There's a mid-term in two years that will be vital in order to stop the Supreme Court from sliding completely conservative and undoing the progress of the last fifty years.
