You know what made me really feel it? After reading the accounts of Muslim women afraid to wear a hijab out of their houses this week, and all the "n***** bashing and "build the wall" chanting I saw, I though to myself "I'm so glad my whole family is white". I was listening to someone talking to a ten-year-old about kids being able to vote. The kid put it so eloquently that, no, kids aren't ready to vote, that it made me pause to think about why.
