Really? I was a Christian once upon a time and I heard it plenty along with the famous,"God will punish us like he did with Sodom and Gomorah because of their perversion." Silly Christians.
It's plenty common amongst catlicks too. For instance, during the recent gay marriage referendum the rcc hierarchy in Ireland was vehemently opposed to the amendment because allowing gays to marry went against god. And gay people in a relationship are still prohibited from partaking in any sacrament of the church, and are told they will go straight to hell.
The rcc is little different from the fundies in substance.

I think you may be mistaken. When I looked him up a few days ago I read nothing about him having died.

I wasn't wishing it ... but I'll shed no tears when it happens. I didn't mourn Falwell's death -- and in Phelps's case, it was a matter of good riddance to bad trash, for my money.
Robertson's a cunt, no doubt, but not so much I'd wish him dead.

Apparently you hadn't heard of Robertson until a few days ago. That useless, reactionary piece of shit has been dumping his bigotry and superstition on this country for decades in the name of Jesus, while raking in a fortune. I won't shed a single tear over his death when it finally comes, any more than I did over Falwell. He won't be missed.
