What does it say about our country and its electorate that we elected a kindergarten president?   And I suspect that would be far from the worst thing that could be justifiably said of our electorate based on the kind of trumpish behavior it would on the whole allow without impeachment in the next 4 years.

Perhaps. Are they being treated unfairly? That's obviously a matter of opinion. I personally feel that the MSM have been irresponsible for years. I do not think they intentionally fabricated news, except in isolated cases like what Dan Rather did, but I do think the reporting has been highly selective. Nevertheless it is simply incorrect to say the Trump is trampling on the First Amendment. No one is being censored. The everyday blogger cannot just waltz into a presidential press conference so why should openly hostile news organizations be able to.

Parts of the press being excluded by the government is unheard of in all parts of the free world. The government in a democracy isn't entitled to hand out priviliges. It's supposed to respond to the people and to serve the people.

For you to have a different understanding just show how little you understand and value in terms of democracy.

You're talking to a guy that thinks Obama was a tyrant. When it comes to politics, he is neither bright, nor free from disingenuousness.

I'm starting to think that conservatives are all fighting each other for the "biggest hypocrite" award.

What about exclusive interviews? Politicians do them all the time. Is that undemocratic?

Are they exclusive or are you just happening to fall for the press' narrative of having an exclusive. Here's a hint, every paper gets an exclusive if they ask. Just at different times.

Also it's a far cry from a general press briefing, which serves to inform the public of what the government by the people intends to do next. By the people - not by the parts of the people the government happens to like.

It has nothing to do with government by the people. Who elected the NYT or CNN? Why do they have special access denied to ordinary citizens? Maybe at one time the NYT earned the right to sit in the front row. Now they don't...and for good reason.

Such as? Criticizing the beloved leader?

I repeat, you're only displaying your general contempt for democracy and the idea of a Free Press. Unless it happens to correlate with your personal views. Which is exactly what we're observing here.

It's only by the people and the free press or earned  if it praises your beloved leader. And not if they call him out .

He's trying to legitimize BB and other junk news that he knows will parrot his talking points.

I don't think it will work.
