What's wrong with the little one?

The one next to him on the couch tried to straighten him out about running after and jumping up on older dogs who are way tired of your bullshit.  She didn't break his skin but somehow snapped his lower mandible.  Cleanly and not in a bad area - it could be worse they tell me.  But he is now officially a pricy dog.

Since we're at it, that's my equivalent of high school, only we don't call it that. Interesting that there are no contemporary pictures on the web. I didn't even know, it already existed in 1903.

That looks a lot like Bancroft Hall.

And that's the hangout before mobile phones were invented. You went there at any time and you were sure to meet some buddies there. You even could tell who's there by the cars parked outside. Long derelinct now.



And another hangout. Although it looked much more fucked up, back in the 80ies. Always had some cool jazz bands, though. Many prominent drunks, such as local business men, were lying in the gutter, in their own puke in front of it, in it's hayday. It was all night, after all.



And a third watering hole. Was kind of good that they were all lining the same street in easy walking distance. There I witnessed one council man, dead drunk and passed out at the counter and another guy shoving ice cubes in his ass.

My wife and I went to Las Vegas this last weekend. She spoke on two panels in the Book Festival, and I tagged along because, Vegas. 

First congratulations on scoring a trailing spouse gig to a fun town.  Nothing more fun than watching your spouse get some recognition while having a blast on your own.
Is your wife a writer, publisher or editor?  Isn't it satisfying to marry someone who is already satisfied with her career?  The relationship has so much more chance of succeeding I think.
