I like that name, though. Sounds very Nordic.

Now when I think about it... When it's pronounced as it's supposed to, it does however the swedish people here pronounce it in such a way, it sounds very soft. They pronounce it as Roshkar, I think it's because they're used to Oskar/Oscar and they're a bit similiar.

My daughter's name is Aleliena. It can look daunting but if you hear it once, it's so easy to say. Instead I get to listen to people call her "alelililililili...erm how do you say it?" Dodgy

My daughter's name is Miri. Named after a city in Borneo that my ex and I had a particularly romantic night at.
It drives me nuts when people call her Mary.

My son's name is Jake. Hemingway fan here, had just reread The Sun Also Rises not long before his birth.

On a less-pretentious note, his nickname is "Boo", short for "Boo-boo." When he was a toddler I could always fetch a laugh from him by throwing on my Yogi Bear voice and calling to him, "Hey-hey, Booboo." It kinda stuck.

Gosh, I miss him. On Saturday mornings, he'd wake me up by climbing into my bed and fluttering his eyelash on my cheek, tickling me like that. The boy has got a little me and a little of Mom in him.
