Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' -Isaac Asimov-

My last cat used to catch rats as well. Most cats won't touch rats, there's an old wives tale that they're poisonous to cats. The real reason is that rats fight back, in packs, and are capable of killing small cats! But that said, there are more mice to catch around here that's for sure.
I'm pretty sure he wanted to eat that mouse too (I personally wouldn't care since he's wormed if it's not for the risk of secondary ratsak poisoning), he wasn't too happy when I took it away!
I hope he catches another one soon - he keeps going to the shed and waiting in the shrubbery and has nothing else to show for it thus far.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

Me, helping a buddy work on the roof of his metal shop (attached to his house). Got to drive a forklift.

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. It's been a while and there was this very nice, complete stranger at Summit Lake on Mt. Evans who offered to take my photo:
This is the best photo taken of me in years, despite the messy hair which was the result of a combination of hat-head and the sometimes fierce wind that was blowing in the high country that day. It still turned out good. Maybe because it's just me, doing something I truly love to do.

Look like my avatar? My avatar is a photo of me!
Edit to Add: I used to get compared to Justin Timberlake a lot, back in college, but I've never heard a comparison to Bourne/Damon before.

Went to the local cider mill with all the kiddos this past weekend. Loads of fun.
