I was already married when my stepson's mother finally went over the edge of incompetence. There was no way I was leaving the poor kid with her. In fact, there was no leaving him with her. It was us or foster care. I couldn't run and didn't really want to at the time.

Ah. Guess in some situations you just can't run. I plan to avoid those situations. I'm always making sure there's some kind of emergency exist. Somewhere to run if things get a little sticky.

I don't want to run because it might be from the right person. However, I know I should have run from my marriage a long time before I did.

Choosing when to run and when not to. I ran from Jess at the appropriate time, which was when I found out that she's been in bed with other men. Been 7 months since I last spoke to her.

Ha, it is too easy to lose confidence in yourself. You gain it back, though. (I do background checks too, but I have only dated once in the past three years and it didn't work out.)

I've only ever lost confidence in others, not so much myself. I've always managed to get out of tricky situations, so far certain people are trying to get me into tricky situations for their own personal gain. This is where lack of trust starts. Can't help but question people's motives.

I know, she's impossible. She lead me on for years, I disappear for a little while, come back only to find that she's been with other men and that she's now a single mum. What makes things even more of a joke is that she was expecting that I'd be happy with simply jumping in and playing happy family. What the jolly fuck?
