To be fair, it looks like you're a lot closer to the initial wake up in your photos and video than I was in either photo I have.  The one above is a photo of me coming out of the twilight-type anesthesia, not the hard-core, need to be intubated and catheterized anesthesia, and my mom did tell me to smile for the camera and I'm apparently very compliant in that state...

Waking up from the hard-core stuff, I wasn't told that I did anything funny except that I demanded my phone and was wheeled into my room with a Popsicle in my hand, which was fairly immediately barfed up.  I've already posted that photo somewhere back in the feed.  All things considered it was a pretty good photo of me - very flattering lighting.

How are you feeling these days, CM? You mentioned a few times that you were crying everyday. Has your depression abated? Were you able to see your doctor for that? I hope you're feeling better. I think about you sometimes, even when I'm not here on AF.

All I can relate to is the sickness (nausea) one gets after medical operations.

It's just hell. I never went through surgery or cemo stuff; but I know exactly how meds taste like. Even they were injected.
You feel like a bag.

The hardest experience -which is nothing compared to your case- is going through an hour-a day for 5 days, steroid injection through the veins.
I can't imagine how a surgery would feel, though.

You're a strong woman. I give you that. Keep smiling.

A few more walking around the garden pics.  Here in coastal California this season is transitional more for marking the end of the dry season than for the colder temperatures.  With all the freaky warm weather we've been having lately plants are a little confused.

The tree hanging over the fountain is Acacia cognate and it's in bloom.

Also behind the fountain is large shrub/small tree called Greyia sutherlandii and it is also in bloom.




Just across from the fountain there is a patch of a little bulb called Lachenalia alludes and it is in full bloom now.




A flower I'm looking forward to a lot hasn't bloomed for several years and is full of buds right now. Pincushion flower is popular in the cut flower trade for good reason. This one will be orange. The flowers in the background belong to a cultivar called 'Strybing Beauty' after the San Francisco botanical garden where it was developed.




One more because the dogs are in it.

Thanks a lot!  The supermarket was soo crowded and this video made me forget my misery.  Well done!  I guess it would have been a good day to die if worse had come to worse.

Here's a more recent one taken on Labor Day.

I can remember some years back when they bungee jumping at the Ohio State Fair. There were women that were wearing halter tops who were lining up and jumping. I bet I stood there for a good solid three hours watching that disgusting sight.
