So this is where I "talk" to all you people. My home work station - if you will.





I'm showing you this picture because I've often imagined Minimalist surrounded by newspapers and old books. DeistPaladin in a cigar-bar type office with lots of mahogany around. Napo with a half-eaten sandwich on an old pizza box. Summerqueen with some kind of flower growing within the immediate reach of the monitor. Rayaan in a room small enough to be a jail cell (probably only because of that one picture). Tiberius with a bunch of geek gear around all humming with the whir of tiny fans. GC with a nordic-looking picture of christ within eye-shot and a lot of Disney videos on a nearby shelf. Vaeolet, with some faux dead corpse hanging above the monitor and 5th with a big picture of Hitchens and a half empty bottle of liquor on his nightstand.

At any rate ... I've imagined most of all of you typing away on your computers in some interesting place or another.

So how bout it? Where do you talk to the world from?? Does your computer rest comfortably on a proper computer desk or is it usually tipped sideways, held up with books on the end of your bed with dorito-dust staining the corners?

Sydney has just ended its longest summer spell below 30 degrees in 15 years, weatherzone.com.au reports.
After a 60-day break, Sydney has finally reached 30 degrees, ending the longest summer run below 30 since 1996/97. In that summer there were 61 consecutive days below 30 degrees.
The record number of consecutive summer days below 30 degrees is 90, set in 1952/53. During that summer, not one day reached 30 degrees. It was at 10.30am today when the city reached 30 degrees for the first time since spring. By 12.30pm it had got to 32 degrees, six above average.
The western suburbs took a bit longer to reach 30 today. Penrith still had not done so by midday. Regardless, nearly all the western suburbs have already reached 30 degrees this summer.
"This is consistent with being in a La Nina, when easterly winds are more dominant and there is more cloud cover than normal. Today we got a rare burst of northerly winds, which combined with mostly clear skies and a warm air mass," Weatherzone meteorologist Brett Dutschke said.
"The lack of hot days in the city has led to this being the coolest start to summer in 12 years. Maximum temperatures have averaged only 24.5 degrees so far, about a degree cooler than the long-term average," Mr Dutschke said.

So... I got called 'hot' today. "She's hot" and "I love her blue hair" being the quotes.

Know what I should have done? I should have gone over and talked to her. I wasn't in a hurry or anything, and she was wearing an epic costume (which I did geek out at immediately upon seeing, and thumbed up and nodded in approval).

Know what I did? Carried on to food, laughing and smiling, my day made from being called "hot"

Do you know how hard it is to find people like me? And an apparent lezzie to boot. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

I always regret it when I pass by people as awesome as I am. So i have a new resolution: I WILL NOT FAIL TO STOP FOR AWESOME UNLESS IT IS A MEGA-EMERGENCY. I CAN BE A LITTLE LATE AND JUST SAY HELLO.
