1) Not true. Women (and men) have been using make up of various kinds since they discovered dyes and stains and lead. There's a long documented history of it. If I can find the book title, I'll drop it to you - it's full of things from history that many people don't realize we had, which include some rather advanced medical procedures and the steam-operated mechanics of Ancient Greece.

2) I don't look different with make up off. I put the make up on to enhance what I have. Rather like the difference between putting on a skirt or wearing dirty jeans. Boyfriend's opinion pretty much matches that analogy. "Oh, you didn't wear make up today? You were probably cleaning and doing all sorts of grubby things. No biggy. I still think you're my smexy." "Oh, you wore make up today? You must have worn the clothes you prefer to wear. Lookin' good babe."

I think his opinion matches most men. I just don't understand the point of it other than society tells women that they should wear makeup. I don't think my girlfriend has ever worn make up.

My wife only wears make up on special occasions, sometimes the result can be amazing.

Product companies sell you a bill of good because that's how they sell their product. They convince you that you NEED this kind of cosmetic or that and you can be as desirable as this hot model or celebrity. I'm never going to look like Natalie Portman, but I can be a pretty damn good personal best.

It's rare you see the non-advertising media promoting a certain trend - most of the time they stick with the most mainstream of the current fashion and classic natural enhancers.

I don't know a single guy, not a single one of my male friends, who prefers women with makeup on. What's the point anyway? To trick someone into thinking you look different than you do? Women didn't wear make up for the vast majority of human history. It's another fabricated industry, tricking people thinking they need a product that they don't.

And it is wellknown that ancient egyptians used make up. And we know from Roman chronicals that people used paint even in the wildest outscirts of ancient europe. Aswell as we know that roman women used coaldust for eyeshadow and bought blond wigs taken from babarian womens heads.

The Ötztaal man, a bronze age dude who was preserved by ice and found in 1991 actualy had tatoos on him.

Yeah, once I thought about it I realized I was very wrong. Still, I don't get make up myself.

When 17 I used some of my then girlfriends makeup to cover up scars and spots, didn`t see anything wrong with that.
