If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Ah, nephews (and nieces) are the best! When you long for children, you borrow them, and at the end of the day you get to return them to their parents. It's a win-win for me Big Grin
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. For the parents too of course. I'm honored that they want me in their lives and they'd rather have me stay with them when they celebrate anniversaries and such.

Got to say I've never longed for kids of my own. Being the second of seven siblings, childhood holds no romance for me. Plus my day job keeps me connected to adolescents becoming teenagers. But I hope you get what you long for, K.

when I was 19, I was told I would be losing my ability to have children with a chemo treatment. Then they gave me three of those treatments. I gave up hope of having children of my own. I gave up hope of reaching the age of 25 much less having someone who would love me despite the risks of loving me.
Well, I made it to 25 (against all odds), I ran across the best man this world has to offer, and I might be able to have babies of my own, and at the very least have someone who would adopt with me Smile Life is good. It can seem bleak sometimes but it can also change in the blink of an eye. Just, blink.

Yeah, I don't particularly long for children of my own (thus the appeal of my nephews), but Scruffy does, and I don't mind getting a couple at some point Tongue
