RE: Being right in a relationship
My husband is inclined to let me have my way with most everything.

I'm not sure if He does so because of his husbandly duty, or because he's honestly just so laid back he doesn't care much lol.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

So, you're saying you're not an Official Atheist?

That says a lot.

Send me a membership fee of $US200 to become an Official Atheist, then I can revoke your membership!

I guess it depends how you're defining official.

Then you'd be defining it wrong. Doesn't surprise me; your mom said you were wrong a lot.

I always try to say "If we can't disagree about petty unimportant things without turning it into a full blown row . . . then what's the point?"

Me and the girlfriend joke about the "The woman is always right" thing, but it's never genuinely used in terms of an argument.

You gotta just work through whatever any issue is, without trying to state someone is wrong. Considering most arguments are a matter of opinion, there is no solid "wrong", as each side has it's merits and issues. Gotta just figure out a solution that works well for both parties, as catering to either side just causes issues further down the line.
