Jimmy Savile might be a good candidate. A devout Catholic knighted by the Pope, and likely one of the the most prolific sex offenders in recorded history.

Or maybe Saint Augustine. His 'philosophy' of Heaven and Hell is responsible for a lot of the crusades.

That would have been the Apostle Paul; Jesus of Nazareth was fully Jewish.
