Roe v. Wade is gone.
RE: Roe v. Wade is gone.
To put this one more time, just to be clear...

I honestly was not trying to suggest there should be a government involvement in the right to have a child. I was just entertaining the idea a little, if you know what I mean, as in talking about it, but not downright suggesting it. Maybe it was in any way, a mistake to do so, but I am more of a person who is into other ways of lessening breeding of humans. I just may have used the wrong kind of idea even when I did not really say I was into it. So please don't take it as if I said otherwise, okay?

Still, I do think some people are too, well, not so bright to know how to take care of a child or have a child at all. It may be out of my control, and that is not counting the government not having any control in that matter, and that latter part is valid, but I do believe something should be done to reduce overpopulation.

Even then, that would just be in the USA. Even if the USA did something about overpopulation, who knows if other countries are willing to play ball in the same area?

Anyway, with that said.....I do not think the government should have control over another person's body, either. Especially the female body. I did say that they were giving the fetus, who is not even an American citizen who is not 18 years of age or over that, like the mother likely is, adult rights that they should not have.

Even then, I do believe younger people should have rights to abortion, too, even those less than 18 years of age. Even if they are not legal, at least they are already alive unlike the fetus. A fetus is just like an egg, neither of which are a person, after all.

@requiredfield

Does a police office have the right to take a life in the performance of his/her duty?

Does a soldier have the right to take a life in wartime?

RE: Roe v. Wade is gone.
Quote:WASHINGTON (AP) — One woman miscarried in the lobby restroom of a Texas emergency room as front desk staff refused to admit her. Another woman learned that her fetus had no heartbeat at a Florida hospital, the day after a security guard turned her away from the facility. And in North Carolina, a woman gave birth in a car after an emergency room couldn’t offer an ultrasound. The baby later died.

Complaints that pregnant women were turned away from U.S. emergency rooms spiked in 2022 after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, federal documents obtained by The Associated Press reveal.

The cases raise alarms about the state of emergency pregnancy care in the U.S., especially in states that enacted strict abortion laws and sparked confusion around the treatment doctors can provide.

[...]

It’s happened despite federal mandates that the women be treated.

Federal law requires emergency rooms to treat or stabilize patients who are in active labor and provide a medical transfer to another hospital if they don’t have the staff or resources to treat them. Medical facilities must comply with the law if they accept Medicare funding.

The Supreme Court will hear arguments Wednesday that could weaken those protections. The Biden administration has sued Idaho over its abortion ban, even in medical emergencies, arguing it conflicts with the federal law.

[...]

Consider what happened to a woman who was nine months pregnant and having contractions when she arrived at the Falls Community Hospital in Marlin, Texas, in July 2022, a week after the Supreme Court’s ruling on abortion. The doctor on duty refused to see her.

“The physician came to the triage desk and told the patient that we did not have obstetric services or capabilities,” hospital staff told federal investigators during interviews, according to documents. “The nursing staff informed the physician that we could test her for the presence of amniotic fluid. However, the physician adamantly recommended the patient drive to a Waco hospital.”

Investigators with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services concluded Falls Community Hospital broke the law.

This won't change until some legislator's daughter loses her baby ... or her own life.
