2024 US Presidential Election

I did have one more comparison to make, BUT...based on the last posts I read and the fact that the similarity is just probably too small to count, I won't bring it up...not unless, any few people want me to.

Write whatever you want, who cares. I was just pointing out that Clinton wasn't and Trump isn't being tried for adultery. I was responding to this: "Still, despite the differences, both of those people did commit adultery. "

And so what? That wasn't the point of either trial.

It is, after all, a spin Trunpsters put on it, that he's being tried for adultery, just as Dems did in 1998.

Do not lap up the spin.

You really need to stop apologizing.

Say what is on your mind.  If someone disagrees...that's life.

Some of these posts are getting downright pathetic.

I am sure I did not add an extra part of the sentence you quoted (or to anywhere, for that matter) that the point of the trail was about that. I was pretty sure there are more important things that matter more than adultery. I am wondering where it was that I said adultery was the focus?

Because I can see some words being put in my mouth about things I never said. If I said adultery was the focus of the trials, I would have directly said it, and I was not trying to imply that, either.

I am not saying you said that. I am saying that the adultery angle is irrelevant, despite your focusing on it in the post I quoted. Go back and reread your own post, and think about others might read it.

Do you need any further clarification?

No, not at all, actually. I kinda knew it was irrelevant. Just thought it would not have hurt to bring it up. That's all.

On another note, if you did get an apology from me earlier on this thread, note that it was not because of me feeling bad or anything...

It was because I was sure of how others felt or thought of what I said, and me thinking things would spiral out of control. I am still kind of new here.

With that said.....anyone saw the news of what Trump plans to do in his second term, specifically this?

Slick Willy got a bj from an intern at 3 am in his office while presidenting.  The Dumpster fucked a has-been porn star on his off time while his mistress was pregnant.

It's your basic over-worked creeper vs bored lothario scenario....and while the acts themselves couldn't be more different..the two men, not so much.  Both were equally willing to mortgage the country to the reich wing if it kept them in power even as neither man believed in the reich wings goal. In the end, one man will be remembered for his sexual infidelity while the other will be remember for tonguing foreign hole.

One of the two men got a million of us killed.......broke the civil wars record. Sounds like he has plans to beat that mark in a second term.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Both men preyed on women. Dirtbags.

One allegedly committed election fraud while trying to cover it up.

So, on the hush money trial Trump has, what will be the punishment should Trump lose? (Which I bet he will) will he have to pay anything?

This is criminal trial, not a civil one. Any money he has to pay will be in the form of fines to the court. He could also face a maximum of four year in prison for each count (there is no mandatory minimum.

So, he could pay nothing and serve no jail time at all, up to a maximum fine of $170 000 and 136 years in prison if convicted on all 34 counts in the indictment.

My guess is that he’ll be hit with the maximum monetary fine, receive no prison sentence, and his business licenses in the state will be suspended. He’s much more likely to be locked up for contempt than for falsifying his business records.
