Wrong. It points out that Al Qaida and Bin Laden were never things Bush cared about. In fact, according to inside testimony from Gen. Clark, Bush was obsessed with Saddam leading to the very negligence that allowed 9/11 to happen on his watch.

Bush's obsession with Saddam lead to what exactly that allowed 9/11 to take place?

And Bush going for Sadam was far from the only thing that he did in terms of using tragedy to further authority, such as your TSA 'expansions', the "Patriot act", Gitmo etc.

We declared war on a nation that was actively protecting Osama Bin Laden after giving them an ultimatum to turn him over. We had every right to do that. Unfortunately, Bush only sent in a small force, toppled the government and seemed to call that a day. Immediately afterwords, he was on record saying he "didn't know where Bin Laden was and didn't think about him." Maximum effort would have been something akin to our war in Iraq. Had Afghanistan been our sole focus, we could have crushed Al Qaida. Bush squandered that opportunity because he was obsessed with Saddam.

You had every right to do that? That "God given American right" huh? How many more civilians did you fuckers kill compared to Al Qaida? All in the name of catching the Boogie man, someone of exaggerated significance to begin with.

We had every reason to think so and Bush dropped the ball. Relying on the anti-Taliban at all was foolish. These warlords have a long history of shifting allegiances as it suits their needs. Obama was smart enough not to inform Pakistan, knowing that they've been playing both sides.

Yeah, not the best decision in retrospect. I guess he had assumed that the AT's power hunger would see them attempt to usurp the Taliban. To say that Obama didn't inform Pakistan though was false, they were part of the cleanup crew.

Actually he was and his killing is. Symbols are very important to his culture. Plus there's a treasure trove of information that we've doubtlessly also seized.

Right, it's important when it's politically useful, unimportant when it's not, just ask all the flip-flopping politicians. And symbols are just as important to your culture, nothing like a bit of Osama killing to bolster a shaky re-election campaign.

The very reason that Al Qaida was able to regroup in Pakistan was because of our minimal efforts in Afghanistan. This was because Bush decided Saddam was more important as a priority.

Perhaps he was, perhaps not, in any case Al Qaida are a boogie man, barely anything more, they've been less of a problem than all the locals you pissed off in Afghanistan by killing their children, they're the ones fighting in the streets and being fueled with hatred and ideas of Martyrdom.

But Bush's private little war in Iraq was?

I always have to wonder about "ex-atheists." I mean, did they simply just not go to church or care about religion, or were they an atheist the way I'm an atheist: skeptical of all religious claims and won't accept them without evidence to back them up? I'm guessing the former and somehow got talked into being a fundie by other rabid fundies, at which they must not have very good critical thinking skills or reached a bad spot in their lives and needed something to desperately believe in. I haven't watched any of those videos yet but I'm curious as to their reason for going from being atheist to fundamentalist Christian.
