Music for old farts.

Music for old farts.
This is true, but didn't know where else to post.(I thought it was funny)

Mostly I listen to "music for old farts community radio'That means all of the announcers are volunteers.

There I was at midnight, listening to a very cool jazz programme, with some really obscure stuff.

The excellent announcer(OK, he meanders a bit ) exclaimed that today is his birthday:he's eighty.

There's hope for us all.

The station is streamed 24/7. Lots of music from the 50's,60's,70's
and 80's as well as C&W and supermarket music.

You have a Jazz station that plays actual Jazz? You lucky SOB. Until recently, all we had in Chicago was a "Smooth Jazz" station [WNUA] which would maybe play actual jazz for a few hours every Sunday and spend the rest of the week playing shit like Kenny G. And then a few years back, it stopped playing jazz altogether.

And, since we're all posting old music, this is the oldest piece of music in my collection:

Sadly no.I think Iris may have been a passing fancy..The adenoids began getting my nerves. Arrgghh

Pappy: Cool. Yeah he plays some Ellington,Coltrane and Bird, but is more likely to play obscure players and singers I've never heard of but who are terrific.I'll try to think of taking notes next time so I'll remember cos I don't right now.

Rev, beautiful. Medieval church music?

Oldest stuff I have is some Gregorian chants, done by your actual Gregorian monks.
