@tackattack You make a fair point. Not every religion turns every adherent into horrible people. I should have qualified my comment with ‘potentially’.

Those would most likely be Jains, @tackattack, and their -actually- nice sounding 5 ethical rules ... sorry, vows. For Jains - which is ironic for any other religion - the more extreme a Jain becomes, the more peaceful and non-violent they become, to the point of absurdity.

The exception isn't the rule for a reason.

If you think my contention is with the people, @WinterHold , then you're sorely mistaken. It has always been about the faith, and its control and its hold it has over people. Especially those assholes, even them, that take advantage of this faith, and don on a religious title and use it for personal gain & power. Even those people are captured by faith.
