Personally, I don't think God or anyone's God is omnipotent. In fact, I think God of any kind as thought up by humans is too human to be properly omnipotent.
You do expect a lot from God don't you, why don't you just execute all the pedophiles and rapists to make sure that very few people even dare to harm a woman in such a manner, rapists and pedophiles fear death, they're a craven people, and as to why it matters... it was meant to offer comfort to those who found themselves to be the victims of your inadequacy to deal with these daesh scum like they should be.
for example, many in the medieval world took it to mean that the Virgin Mary had been raped and that even though this had happened to her she was still seen as a virgin in the eyes of her Father (God) and her child begotten from the encounter instead of being a child of rape was now a child of God the Father
The virgin birth and resurrection are indeed allegories, the Teacher is supposed to be resurrected in spirit in our own hearts, that's how it is for buddhism as well, technically islam, and zoroastrianism, all of them have a similar line of logic. The virgin birth is an allegory in its own right, but you can take multiple inferences from it.
science is self correcting, ideas change with new evidence (Newtons theory of gravitation was superceded by Einsteins ideas and may change again with new discoveries) Religion is fixed and has no evidence Need to trust a fairy story about magic apples and talking snakes
atheists, atheists, atheists, no faith have they but their faith in their beloved science which leads them astray, oh atheists believe such silly things, like the big bang theory, silly silly atheists
