Both my father (radioactive "seeds" implanted in the prostate) and brother (complete removal) were treated for prostate cancer. My dad is 93, brother is 70.

The PSA blood test doesn't always catch cancer early enough for the best prognosis. The digital exam feels for rough spots or bumps on the surface of the prostate.

I think it's more weird that they didn't do a simple PSA blood test

I've had two colonoscopies. In both cases, I stayed on the toilet until I was completely empty.
