Heheh. we have a ceiling fan in the kitchen so it's not so bad in summer, but in winter it's murder...we have 100 year old wood floors and the kitchen is just laminate laid on top of that, and there's no insulation so the floor gets so bloody cold your feet ache

Although I just found a recipe for pumpkin-ginger pancakes... It is hard to overstate my excitement at the prospect of working in a hot kitchen. Mostly because our house is freezing right now. Another benefit to fall cooking - free heating out of the stove!

The best thing about fall is all the cooking that goes on with in-season food so your menu sounds like it came out of a Redwall book.
