What sort of tech would that involve in 5000m waters?

That's the point. Tethering to the seabed at 5000m is unlikely (or impossible because: the honeycomb would collapse and sink it; and because the barnacles don't grow that deep). Tethered in a shallow grave is possible, but doesn't fit with the satellite data. Hence human intervention (foul play) starts to look more likely i.e. it was tethered in the perp's laboratory.

Guys, you are starting to sound religious.
Conspiracy? Coverup?

Just because we don't have all the answers doesn't mean we make up much more outlandish stories!
That's what Christians are for.
No God, No fear.

Thanks Igno. My sentiments exactly.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Logic works forward, not backwards. If you have a problem with the conclusion then it's your job to point out the errors in fact/logic which precede that conclusion.

Intuition is a good thing. It's good to be skeptical of wild conclusions. But in this case, we are simply following the MH370 flaperon data, and the evidence does not lead to any comfortable conclusions. Rather, it points in the direction of foul play.

Just because you don't like the conclusion doesn't mean you can ignore the data and make an outlandish statement from ignorance, bias and preconception.

The point is: if you want to debate then get off the sniping sidelines and look at the data. Yeah, that actually involves thinking and talking, rather than perpetuating bias. Alas, such is life.

What's the deal with a shitty plane dissapearing anyway. I mean, sorry for the lost lives, but it's a big ocean. Well, I get it, it's ideal conspiracy nut nutrition. Not at all surprised that stoner makes a big deal of it.

That's just what the NWO wants you to think, right, Stoner?

In your case, not so much.

In your case, none at all. Ad hominem, ad nauseam. Maybe you should write in Latin.

Preliminary MH370 Flaperon Failure Analysis
http://www.duncansteel.com/archives/2026

These two experts seem to be leaning towards the flaperon being torn off in mid air, and floating down to the ground separately from the plane. (If I'm interpreting them correctly).

So we have 3 data points:

1. The flaperon was ripped off in mid air, and floated down separately from the plane.
2. Nonetheless the flaperon was tethered to something that kept it below the surface for 4 months.
3. And then it broke free and floated thousands of miles away.

Is it making sense? Nope. Not at all. That's why foul play is a very plausible explanation. (Muslims and Obama not required. All that's needed is a wind tunnel, a water tank, and a courier to make the drop).

What if it was tangled in kelp for a while, close to the surface, before being wrenched free by a storm? Has that possibility been explored?
