1) Stop baiting others from the word go. Every thread you've created has been titled to get others angry, and they all go downhill from there very quickly.

2) Provide some details about where you are coming from. Right now all you're doing is sidestepping this very necessary piece of evidence about you.

3) Provide some evidence for your positions.

4) Learn from your betters. Every single argument you have made has been comprehensively dismantled and conclusively shown to be wrong. Yet you still persist in condescending at those who disagree with you, despite your position having no basis whatsoever.

5) Don't be such a prick. Your general tone is confrontational, insulting and derogatory (without a single shred of provocation). Most others will react to you in the same way. If you want to improve the manner in which you are being dealt with improve your manners (vastly).

But the fact that your OP is framing you as the poor oppressed victim states to me clear as day that you don't want to improve yourself vis a vis the forum, you just want to mark your territory as martyr on here, so you can point to your buddies in the dipshit religionista community and shout "look at me, I have suffered for my faith, just like all those other oppressed christians. Truly, I am one of christ's greatest followers".
Thanks for the substantive, non-emotional response.

In another thread, someone made a list of the threads I started. You might find it, as well as my responses illuminating.

As for where I am coming from, I make no positive claims about the existence of God. I don't mind if people are atheists. My problem is the application of bad reasoning in defense of atheism or against theism.

You are absolutely, positively wrong on (4). We can discuss it is you like.

As for the rest, I'll respond when the time is right.

On your laughable lie stating you don't make a claim about your personal imaginary friend, did you not read the post immediately above yors quoting you describibg yourself as born again? Oh and you've made plenty of claims about god in your threads, just not any that can hold water.

On demand 4 if you had any ounce of integrity or willingness to improve yor behaviour you'd concede I'm right on that one. The proof is plastered all over the fora here.

I've come to the conclusion that you're either an unrepentant troll, irredemably stupid or both, with my opinion falling at c). There is no point engaging with you further as you don't want to discuss, you want simply to insult all who don't immediately accept your unintelligible utterances.

Goodbye and enjoy your sad, pathetic and unfulfilling little life.

You know I don't have to do anything right?

Everything I've offered is out of the goodness of my heart and I can take it back if and when I want to.

In fact, the response I've gotten warrants nothing but a return to the "Ol'delicate" if you're honest with yourself.

But I'll confess, its not unexpected. Cognitive bias is a very powerful thing.

Take it all back, Randy. No one cares.

Look at the contrast between my response and his.

I'm cool, calm, collected. I disagree, of course- who wouldn't- with what Dorfl has on offer.

But my disagreement is predicated on facts and reasons. And it is open for discussion- if he can prove me wrong with reasons and evidence, he's more than welcome.

Contrast that with his response. Note the ad hominem. The intense emotionalism. The sneering condescension and savagery.

A response like Dorfl's is truly uncalled for. It lacks class and substance, and proves my point.

People who post like this beg not to be taken seriously.

And for clarity, when I say I make no claims any the existence of God, I mean I'm open about what I believe but I don't assert that you ought to believe it. That's not part of my goal.

Although you're welcome to talk to me about my beliefs, if you're rational.

Have you ever actually stated your goal?

Delicate, you might note that Constable has only 1 reputation point, while even you have 3. If you're seeking to take umbrage against this community, I'd suggest focusing on somewhat more-established members.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

You act like what you're "doing" is a gift, that we don't deserve.

That's your problem, you perceive yourself as holding some higher value over others in what you say. Every time you post, it always has to has this arrogant, righteous tone to it, that somehow we are all supposed to hold your words with the utmost respect.

I'll forgive anyone, I posted a MLK quote earlier that I stand by, hate can't drive hate out, only love can do that.

However, to be blunt, you haven't done shit. Stop acting like you've made this colossal change, and it's our fault for not seeing it. The fact that you respond with such hostility to someone who simply wants you to put words to action, just proves how self-entitled you see yourself, how dare anyone disagree, they must be wrong!

Your failure to stand by your words only lowers the amount of respect people will have for them. Which subsequently heightens your backlash and denial, constantly insisting that the lack of respect is nothing to do with anything you've personally said.

You've framed a thread that could be encouragement as a platform in which everyone's against you, hyper-focusing in on anyone who disagree's with you in the smallest amount, lacking the maturity to put your words to action and prove the people who question your motives wrong you instead decide to engage with every one of them before ever showing the change you promised in the first place. Empty promises. You lack self-awareness. That's this thread's downfall.
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?

Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

Is the following part of your goal?

Quote:Randy Carson
In all likelihood, judging from these experiences, any Christian responses will likely have no effect on the hard-core atheist. But they can help other Christians to see the bankruptcy of atheist anti-biblical arguments and those on the fence to avoid falling into the same errors of logic and fallacious worldviews built upon such errors.

(This should be a thread in which we all talk about ourselves in the third person.)

Starvald Demelain agrees.
