I'm not going to keep arguing with you. Feel free to blame me. As far as I'm concerned you knowingly and intentionally broke the rules in order to prove a point and are now disingenuously blaming me to try to prove some other point. On both accounts I think you're being a jerk. And on neither account will I take the blame for your actions. Yeah, I'm sure you were just a silent voice among millions.
Go look at the posts in question. Consider the fact that I have NEVER posted pictures like that before. Ask yourself, "Was there maybe a POINT in there somewhere? What was he trying to say?"
As for taking the blame-- I'm not asking you to. I took my ban, and waited it out like a man, and now I get to talk about how shitty it was. But what I'm asking is for you to take responsibility for YOUR behavior.
As for breaking the rules, they have now changed. I'm not so sure I DID break the rules, or why would they have needed to be changed? If you don't mind, I'd like to see a copy of the original rules, because I think you acted on the basis that I was posting illegal, immoral material, and not on the basis of forum rules.
But I CAN say that your content breaks the current rules. Can I assume that the offending breast content has now been removed from this thread?
___
As for the OP, let me say one last thing-- breasts are NOT illegal, NOT immoral, and the forum rules about them are arbitrary. There's no good reason to deny women the right to be depicted in their natural form, and to be comfortable or even proud of something that separates them, in an interesting and postive way, from men. I'd ask that you guys consider rather than banning nudity, of going the OTHER way-- opening up your minds, and your rules, to nature. Stop sexualizing the body, and start accepting that it is no more offensive than my dogs', and no less beautiful than any other part of the wonders of nature.
Okay, I'm out. I'll return to read whatever you guys say, but you'll get to have the last word. Peace, sister!

I wouldn't know it hasn't been reported so I didn't bother checking to see
ETA: I saw a POINT in there and that's why I came to the conclusion that you did it on purpose to prove a point and not because I somehow misguided you even though you're perfectly capable of reading the rules for yourself and even though I was speaking as a member and not a mod which was made clear by the fact that I was not wearing my Moderator Notice ModHat

You're perfectly welcome to bitch about your temp ban until you're blue in the face (fingers?) I don't care. If you want to request information or file an appeal on the grounds that you didn't actual violate a rule I would suggest you make use of the PM system because you're not going to get anywhere here.

Okay, sticking my oar in here.
Benny, I was one of those who voted for the one week suspension. All such decisions are voted on, no one makes arbitrary decisions. I didn't like doing it and, as I said in the thread at the time, I hoped we'd see you back in a week, but it was a prudent response to what was posted.
Now, personally, I agree with you that boobs are boobs and nipples are nipples. Unfortunately the staff and, particularly, Tibs, answers to the people who host these sites and they make the decision on what is and isn't appropriate. Especially since this is an open board that anyone can view. And it's a reason we have A69.
Now, as has been stated, we have had a serious debate, on the open board and elsewhere, regarding this and you can clearly see in announcements that a rule change has been made.
Personally, I'd LOVE to post a couple of my pics here but I won't even post one that simply shows butts. The rules may or may not have been open for interpretation earlier. Now they're quite clear.
No one is being used as a scape goat here. You, unfortunately, posted not only a simple boob picture but the other pictures as well and it was the children one that caused the concern. We can read the classical definition of "pornography" as much as we like, but it's the powers-that-be that ultimately make the decision.
I've lost a FB account over pictures that flashed boobs. I hated it. It pissed me off. I got over it and moved on.
I understand you're pissed and upset.
Please, let's now move on.

Shite... a one week ban over something that could have been perfectly resolved with a simple PM... (and removal of the content, as was done)...
Nothing to do now, except move on... But perhaps a lesson for the future?

Any two or three members could easily pay a year's costs (about $400), but I could do it alone if necessary (with probable concessions to my wife).
I'm guessing that's not going to happen, though. Because this really isn't about money. It's about the collision of world views. You guys clearly think mine is dysfunctional (hence the ban for something I consider perfectly normal and harmless), and I have to say it goes the other way-- I think Americans have sick and twisted views on sexuality and on the psychological health of children, and that it is currently doing a very great deal of harm in your country.
But I think that might be a good start for a new thread. Thank you for coming forward and describing your situation honestly. Respect.

I do not want a forum where people are capable of expressing themselves freely to the point where others feel extremely uncomfortable.
Nudity should be under a specific thread as it has always been here.
Those who post things against the rules should be punished for having posted those things.

To be clear, there is a difference between a host and a sponsor. The host has nothing to do with financing the site. If ever Tibbers comes forwards and says that allowing adult nudity is an option, I would likely vote for it. As of now, it's not even up for a vote.

You posted pictures of naked children to make a point? And you're surprised at action being taken against you?
You put us in an extremely difficult situation by doing so, when you could have just used words to make your point.
Don't try and make out it's the staff that have a problem here. You need to let this go.
