"Atheism is a superstition."

RE: "Atheism is a superstition."
Just another long, blown out, gushing article from somebody who really doesnt undersatnd atheist and materialism, and therefore makes more of a fool out of himself than the atheists. Sadly, though, this mans article will become popular with the not so bright believers who will suddenly take a fad of calling everything that ISNT superstitious a "superstition", while of course, their REAL superstition is ignored, or called "reality".

And yes, the usual claims that Einstein was on their side. Religious people, Einstein WASNT on your side. Einstein didnt like talking religion or against religon that much. He was on SCIENCES side. Later in life he wrote a few letters that BLASTED religious belief..yet you religious types still want to claim him as your own. This doesnt shine greatly on how we perceive your knowledge of history.

Oh, and one more thing to the religious...if we atheists had a HUGE article like this one printed on Easter day in a major newspaper that strawmanned your religion, and talked shit about you..how do you think you would feel?

Quote:If human beings were going to invent a religion based on wishful thinking, they could come up with something a lot "easier" than Christianity. After all, why not wish for a religion that promised eternal life in heaven,
Because if EVERYONE goes to heaven regardless of belief, then why join the church and donate money to them and do what the religious authorities tell you to do? So no, if you want to put a preist class in control of a population, then you introduce the idea of judgement and hell. This article writter is a fucking idiot.

Signed - A Materialist.

For all the brilliant things the human race has achieved there certainly are alot of brain dead people in the world.

I like to refer to these retards as Zombies, who just go about their lives aimlessly not questionning a single thing they are told. Fucking imbeciles.

There's just one way to sum up my response to this:

If anybody feels like using this image in response to similarly idiotic and incoherent posts, feel free to do so.

I agree. And with the zombie part, my base philosophy of absurdism places those who have decided to have faith in things not of this world as having commited "philosophical suicide". They have admitted that they cant handle the truth of a cold, uncaring universe. So instead of acknowledging and revolting against the absurd, and because they find physical suicide distasteful, they choose philosophical suicide.

I agree.. they are zombies.

..and zombies eat brains and are very dangerous, LOL.

Well, the article fails from the get-go, but I expected this level of coherency from the man who writes books such as "A Travel Guide To Heaven".

I gave you a reputation bump as a reward for your response to this article.

I personally think you should win the gold medal for pointing out the major malfunction of this numb nuts article in the most efficient method possible.

Stand up and take a bow Welsh Cake. You deserved it as far as I am concerned.
